A founding thinker in the modern engineering of consent. Nephew of Sigmund Freud. "Bernays touted the idea that the 'masses' are driven by factors outside their conscious understanding, and therefore that their minds can and should be manipulated by the capable few." While naturally accompanied by pros and cons, such a thought pattern is generally amenable to the INTJ's preferred channels of perception, and feeds into the idea that INTJs are capable of manipulation on a grand scale. "In addition to being a special, individual human being, you are also a component in a system. Maybe even _my_ system." Being aware of this pattern is very important. Added Friday June 28, 2019.

A lot of INTJs love to monitor the airwaves. Metaphorically it's something we're good at, as well. This is a great little blog post summarizing the types of things you can expect to pick up with a radio and antenna, on the shortwave radio bands. My personal record is a station picked up from Africa, 10,000+ miles from my location. Was just walking along outside in the winter, doing a scan, when it came in loud and clear. Radio propagation is weird and kind of cool in that way. Added Thursday June 27, 2019.
