Cancer Awareness Day at Pickleball

A good 2 hour workout, did hamstring stretches between matches. Splashed down $50 on a composite paddle but got the display model and a promise to bring a shiny one next time.

We skunked one team today, which was surprising—I served pretty well via P.U.S.H. in that match and ended up making about 7 of our 11 points.

Lessons learned:

Feeling any tension on a serve? For now, just lob it.
Stay back court immediately after you serve.
Don’t hang out in the middle of the court. Front or back.
Stay back from the net line a bit when up front; don’t want to fall in after a hit. I got called on that about 3-4 times today, once on game point.
